As a Quality and Control Engineer you are the essential link in high quality projects at NEM Energy. Your impact extends from the initial sales phase to operational delivery. Your role starts long before production begins you define manufacturing specifications and create sharp inspection plans. You safeguard the quality of components and equipment designed by NEM but produced by external parties. You monitor suppliers closely and guarantee they meet the strictest order specifications regulations and procedures. We are looking for an engineer who understands both the design phase and practical assembly. You work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Sales and Engineering to collectively certify a world class end product.
Job Responsibility:
Proactively plan inspection activities and meetings based on customer requirements and ensure their implementation in the production process
On site at suppliers, inspect and approve products according to specifications and legal frameworks
Maintain strategic contact with inspection agencies and customers regarding inspection and code requirements
Translate quality aspects from contracts and designs into technical specifications and test subcontractor procedures against them
Identify bottlenecks, document them, and decisively propose improvements to procedures and work instructions
Critically evaluate whether NEM quality aspects are included in quality plans and production procedures such as WPS, ITP, and NDT of subcontractors
During inspections, verify the techniques used and maintain compliance with approved production procedures
Perform crucial final checks on the production documentation compiled by the supplier
Requirements:
Vocational or bachelor level of thinking and working in Mechanical Engineering
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of construction codes such as ASME, AWS, and EN 12952
Strong affinity with practical engineering and thermomechanical engineering
Specialization in IKT or EWT (advantage)
Experience as a welder or International Welding Engineer (IWE)
Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages in speech and writing
