Job Description:

The Quality Analyst role involves ensuring data integrity and accuracy through comprehensive testing of Power BI dashboards and reports. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on SQL and ETL testing. Collaboration with Data Engineers and Business Analysts is essential, along with effective communication skills. This position requires working in the 2 PM – 11 PM IST shift.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform end-to-end testing of Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations
  • Validate data accuracy, transformations, and calculations across Power BI datasets
  • Execute Data Testing to ensure source-to-target reconciliation and data integrity
  • Conduct ETL testing for data pipelines, including validation of business rules and transformations
  • Test data coming from multiple sources such as databases, files, and APIs
  • Validate insurance domain KPIs, metrics, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using standard defect management tools
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Business Analysts
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution reports
  • Support UAT and production validation activities during releases and data refresh cycles

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in QA with strong focus on Data and ETL testing
  • Hands-on experience testing Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and analysis
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and pipelines
  • Prior experience working in the Insurance domain (claims, policy, underwriting, premiums, etc.)
  • Experience validating complex business rules and data transformations
  • Familiarity with BI/data testing best practices and QA methodologies
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to work in the 2 PM – 11 PM IST shift
