Job Description:

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), with experience in creating test cases, executing tests, reporting bugs, and ensuring the highest quality standards for web and software applications. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for executing various types of testing, including cross-browser, compatibility testing, and ensuring that projects meet client and business expectations. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining comprehensive testing documentation, collaborate on DevOps pipelines, and gain exposure to AWS infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Understand and apply various SDLC and STLC processes and methodologies
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of quality assurance processes with project goals
  • Develop comprehensive test cases and test plans based on functional specifications, requirements, and user stories
  • Ensure test cases cover all relevant scenarios
  • Analyze test execution results and ensure deviations are promptly reported and escalated
  • Work with developers to ensure bug fixes are implemented and perform retesting
  • Provide detailed testing reports
  • Conduct cross-browser testing
  • Maintain thorough testing documentation
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by documenting best practices, tools, and processes
  • Understand the project lifecycle and interdependencies between development, testing, and deployment phases
  • Participate in test planning, review requirements, and provide feedback to improve testing coverage

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2-4 years of experience in manual testing and quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and various testing methodologies
  • Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools
  • Basic knowledge of AWS infrastructure and cloud-based testing
  • Strong focus on quality with a keen eye for detail
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice to have:

  • Basic API knowledge
  • Idea of microservices
