If so, Learning Curve Group (LCG) invites you to apply for the role of Adult Skills Quality Advisor. This full-time role offers the opportunity to shape quality assurance across a diverse and dynamic learning portfolio, including Access to HE Diplomas and Level Two and Three courses that are a mix of online, blended learning and face to face around the country. We’re particularly interested in hearing from professionals with adult learning experience and qualifications that cover, Social Science, Health and Digital to bring their expertise into a learning and development environment. About the Role: As an Adult Skills Quality Advisor, you’ll play a key role in empowering tutors to deliver outstanding learning experiences to our learners. You'll provide ongoing support through development-focused assurance activities such as sampling, learning visits, and leading standardisation training. Your work will help ensure we consistently meet the high standards of both our awarding organisations and LCG’s internal quality framework to ultimately contributing to the best possible outcomes for our learners. You’ll take a proactive and supportive approach to identifying training needs, promoting a culture of continuous professional growth and excellence in teaching and learning. This position reports into the Quality Manager and involves working with both internal teams and external stakeholders to uphold high standards across our provision.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct sampling and quality assurance activities in line with internal and external standards in line with Quality Framework for Level Two and Level Three
Identify and disseminate best practices, driving improvements in teaching, learning, and assessment
Actively support monthly learner completions and achievement targets by supporting primary tutors
Lead and participate in coaching, training, and continuous professional development for delivery teams
Contribute to the staff recruitment and induction process and assuring the suitability of new delivery staff
Guide staff on embedding digital skills, safeguarding, inclusion, British Values, and wellbeing throughout the learner journey
Contribute to curriculum development and review with subject-specific insight
Conduct learning visits (face-to-face and remote) of teaching and learning delivery, reporting quality risks where necessary
Lead standardisation activities, prepare for external quality assurance (EQA) and awarding organisations reviews as allocated by your Quality Manager
Requirements:
Relevant teaching qualification
Sector Qualification to at least level three or four dependent on qualifications being sampled
Relevant Assessor Qualification
Relevant Internal Quality Assurer Qualification
Level Two numeracy and literacy (or GCE/GCSE equivalent) (desirable)
A management qualification (desirable)
Digital sector background and qualifications (desirable)
Appropriate teaching, assessing and IQA experience in terms of breadth and depth across level Two and Three in particular Access To HE
Vocational experience within the sector for which you will IQA of at least 3 years
Coaching and developing the practice of others
A track record of outcomes against KPIs
A trend of consistently good or better teaching observations
Demonstrable experience of sharing practice and resources
Managing change and working to deadlines
Delivering and assessing teaching and assessor qualifications (desirable)
Use of E-Assessor Pro and Powerbi (desirable)
Demonstrate experience of developing and quality assuring practitioners using a range of digital programmes/platforms
Solid knowledge of office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Detailed knowledge of the Further Education and Skills Inspection Toolkit (Ofsted)
Detailed knowledge of a company’s Quality Framework and audit regime
Detailed and practical understanding of teaching, learning and assessment for learning
Detailed knowledge of Internal Quality Assurance
