Vernon Research Group, a business unit of Amperage LLC, is seeking a strategic and intellectually curious Qualitative Research Analyst to lead research initiatives that uncover meaningful human insights and inform business decisions. This role is ideal for a research professional who combines methodological rigor with the ability to translate complex qualitative findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Organizations rely on deep, contextual understanding to guide strategy and growth. The Qualitative Research Analyst plays a key role in shaping and executing qualitative research that helps clients better understand their audiences, brands and opportunities. This position requires strong analytical thinking, effective communication skills and the ability to manage projects from design through delivery. Qualitative Research Analysts are expected to work with a strong sense of ownership and accountability while maintaining high research standards and alignment with client objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Leading the design and execution of qualitative research initiatives aligned with client goals and business challenges
Translating business objectives into research proposals and plans
Designing and moderating focus groups, in-depth interviews and other qualitative research methodologies
Recruiting and sourcing participants to ensure high-quality, representative samples
Managing the collection, organization and synthesis of qualitative data
Analyzing qualitative data to identify themes, patterns and actionable insights
Developing reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings and strategic recommendations
Presenting insights to clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate findings into broader marketing and business strategies
Staying informed on emerging qualitative research tools, technologies and industry trends
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sociology, Psychology or a related field required
Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience
Market research experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced qualitative analysis and critical thinking abilities
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights
Strong technical proficiency, including qualitative analysis software, recruiting systems and Microsoft Office
Effective project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Collaborative mindset and ability to build strong working relationships
Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning
