Are you a Qualified Teacher looking for an exciting and rewarding new challenge in SEN education? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school for autistic children aged 4-19, rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. We're looking for a passionate educator who would enjoy playing an integral part in designing and shaping the school's curriculum. We offer a better work-life balance with less marking or planning. As part of the Qualified Teaching team, you will support autistic pupils using instruction based on behaviour analysis and positive reinforcement techniques to accelerate learning. You'll work within small class groups or on a 1:1 basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Class Teaching: Providing support and teaching based on behaviour analysis to pupils
  • Curriculum Design: Contributing to the design of an engaging school curriculum, providing differentiated long, medium, and short-term plans
  • Curriculum Delivery: Designing, planning, and delivering the wider school curriculum, including school-wide activities like topic lessons and themed events
  • Data Analysis: Collecting, recording, and analysing data to monitor progress and develop support plans
  • Pupil Development: Interacting and participating with pupils in the development of skills that support their social and emotional well-being

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teaching & Learning Status (QTLS)
  • Teaching experience within the UK school system and an understanding of the National Curriculum in England
  • An interest in and/or experience of working in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Confidence working with children who exhibit behaviours that challenge and supporting others with personal/intimate care where required
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
