Frontline Safeguarding in Greater Manchester: Top-Tier Rate in Salford. Role: Qualified Social Worker. Team: Child Protection (CP) & Children in Need (CIN). Location: Salford City Council. Job Responsibility

  • Manage a varied frontline caseload ensuring children and young people are safe, stable, and heard
  • Co-produce, implement, and monitor comprehensive Child Protection and Child in Need plans
  • Lead on complex statutory assessments and joint investigations with multi-agency partners to mitigate immediate risk
  • Confidently handle Public Law Outline (PLO) processes, prepare legal statements, and represent the authority within court proceedings
  • Keep the young person's wishes, feelings, and cultural identity at the absolute center of every decision

Requirements

  • A recognized Social Work qualification and an active registration with Social Work England
  • Demonscribable post-qualifying experience within a statutory statutory Children's Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Court team
  • Strong analytical writing skills and the ability to manage tight statutory deadlines under pressure
  • A full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for community-based visits
