Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Locum Social Worker to join a dynamic and fast-paced Adult Community Team, supporting adults with a range of needs, including those transitioning through Preparation for Adulthood and individuals requiring Mental Health support. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work within a busy duty-based environment, delivering high-quality statutory social work interventions while promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake Care Act Assessments and person-centred care planning
  • Manage safeguarding enquiries and promote safe practice
  • Provide effective support within a fast-paced duty service
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary partners and agencies
  • Support individuals with complex needs, including mental health presentations
  • Promote strengths-based practice and outcome-focused interventions

Requirements:

  • Recognised Diploma / Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Experience within Adult Community Teams and/or Mental Health Services
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy duty setting
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
