Job Description:

Are you a dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity? Do you have a genuine passion for supporting children and making a difference within fostering services? We are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Supervising Social Worker to join a supportive and well-established Fostering Team in the Stockport, Greater Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regarded local authority committed to delivering high-quality services for children and foster carers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assessing and supporting prospective foster carers
  • Providing ongoing supervision and support to foster carers
  • Supporting children and young people in placement
  • Building effective partnerships with external agencies and professionals
  • Undertaking out-of-area assessments and visits as required

Requirements:

  • Recognised Diploma/Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience
  • Strong knowledge of Fostering Services National Minimum Standards and Regulations
  • Experience completing Form C and Form F assessments
  • A flexible, motivated, and collaborative approach to practice
