Are you a committed Qualified Social Worker? Do you have a passion for providing first-class support to Children's Services? We have a fantastic Locum Social Work Opportunity based within a Duty and Assessment Team in the Rochdale area. You will be working alongside a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing an effective, child-centred service to children in need of support and protection.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responding to new referrals from professionals and members of the public
  • Signposting people to other agencies or completing an assessment of need, investigating allegations so that children/young people are protected from harm
  • Managing a varied and complex caseload
  • Undertaking Court Work
  • Writing concise, fit-for-purpose reports/court statements
  • Working well within a team and with external agencies

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a 'Children's Duty and Assessment' team (desirable)
  • SWE registration
  • BSc Social Work or equivalent
