Qualified Social Worker - Children's Frontline & Disabilities. Role: Qualified Social Worker. Teams Available: Children in Need (CiN) | Child Protection (CP) | Children with Disabilities (CwD). Location: HRV - Accrington. Pay Rate: £36.00 per hour. Interviews: Arranged ASAP. Are you an experienced, resilient children's social worker looking for your next challenge in Lancashire? We are urgently recruiting for skilled Qualified Social Workers to step into high-priority roles across Children in Need, Child Protection, and Children with Disabilities teams in Accrington. If you have a solid foundation in statutory local authority work and are ready to make an immediate impact on frontline cases, this is a fantastic opportunity with a premium pay rate.

Job Responsibility

  • Case Management: Holding a complex caseload of children and families, ensuring their voices are central to all intervention plans
  • Safeguarding & Assessments: Undertaking comprehensive statutory assessments, implementing robust child protection plans, and initiating care proceedings when necessary
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Working closely with schools, health professionals, and emergency services to deliver integrated support networks
  • Disability Support: Delivering specialized, strength-based assessments and care plans tailored specifically for children with complex physical or learning disabilities

Requirements

  • Active registration with Social Work England
  • recognized Social Work degree
  • minimum 3 years' post-qualifying statutory experience held within a permanent local authority post
  • must not have held a permanent or fixed-term position directly with this local authority within the last 12 weeks
