We are currently seeking a resilient and child-centered practitioner to join a dedicated team in Duns and/or Hawick. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing the immediacy of Duty work with the long-term impact of Children & Families casework.
Job Responsibility:
Duty Coverage: Managing incoming referrals, conducting initial screenings, and responding to urgent safeguarding concerns
Casework: Overseeing a varied caseload including Child Protection, Children in Need, and Looked After Children (LAC)
Assessment & Planning: Conducting robust integrated assessments and implementing effective care plans
Collaboration: Working closely with schools, health professionals, and police to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare
Requirements:
A degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
Current SSSC registration as a social worker
