Job Responsibility:
Manage a manageable Child Protection caseload, ensuring all work is focused on improving outcomes for children and young people
Undertake child protection investigations, assessments, and direct work with families in complex situations
Develop and implement robust care and safety plans, ensuring timely interventions and effective multi-agency collaboration
Work closely with schools, health professionals, police, and partner agencies to safeguard and support children
Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and statutory reviews
Promote child-centred, strengths-based practice, empowering families to make sustainable changes
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker
Social Work England (SWE) registration
BSc or equivalent qualification in Social Work
experience within a Child Protection, Safeguarding, or similar statutory social work team
court experience and confidence in preparing and presenting professional reports
strong communication skills
emotional resilience
a genuine passion for protecting vulnerable children
What we offer:
£42,839 - £44,075 per year (depending on experience)
