Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Reporting Accountant to join our External Reporting team within the Amentum International Business. Following an international merger with the Critical Mission Solutions division of Jacobs, our team is growing to support an expanding business. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of reporting cycles, including group audit, statutory audit, and other external reporting activities. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the business, building effective relationships both internally and externally. The role involves contributing to audit processes at both group and entity level, supporting compliance activities (including VAT, CIS, and ONS reporting), and helping the team deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines. This is a varied role that also includes opportunities to support technical accounting queries and contribute to project or bid-related work as needed.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting group and statutory audit processes, including preparing information and responding to audit queries
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns
  • Preparing monthly responses to ONS survey requests
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting the development of junior team members
  • Contributing to a range of ad-hoc activities as priorities evolve

Requirements

  • Professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
  • Experience in reporting and/or accounts preparation
  • An ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experience with audit processes (internal and/or external)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
