We are seeking a motivated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team in West Bridgford. This pivotal role involves delivering high-quality care and educational support to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Job Responsibility:
Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating and age-appropriate learning activities that support children’s development and individual needs
Provide attentive and compassionate care to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development in a safe and inclusive environment
Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to regular progress reports and parent consultations
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive team environment that encourages continuous professional development and best practices
Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and Ofsted standards
Communicate effectively with parents and carers, building positive relationships and providing regular updates on their child’s progress and wellbeing
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to enhance professional skills and service quality
Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare, or equivalent recognised qualification
Proven experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or in a similar childcare role within a reputable setting
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and current childcare best practices
Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo the process upon appointment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering high standards of care and education
Nice to have:
First Aid qualification specific to childcare
Experience with additional needs and inclusion strategies
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
A genuine passion for early years education and child development
