Aurizon is seeking Qualified Locomotive Drivers to join our Dry Creek depot in Adelaide, South Australia. As a Locomotive Driver with Aurizon - Bulk Central, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating locomotives, ensuring the smooth transport of freight across our extensive rail network. You will work within a supportive, safety-conscious team, striving for operational excellence and maintaining the highest service standards.
Job Responsibility:

Striving for operational excellence and maintaining the highest service standards
Operation of locomotives, including mainline, shunting, and marshalling
Examine and certify trains as ready for departure
Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
Maintain a high level of on-time running
Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives
Provide high-quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives
Requirements:
Strong commitment to safety and Aurizon’s safety strategy “I Know Safe, I Choose Safe.”
Availability to work a 24/7 shift roster
Experience working with ARTC Code of Practice & Safe Working systems (SA, WA, VIC, NT) is advantageous
Experience operating air brake
Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience
A Certificate IV in Rail Operations
Current unrestricted driver’s licence
Ability to successfully pass pre-employment checks such as driving history checks, reference checks, and a CAT 1 Rail medical
Nice to have:
Experience working with ARTC Code of Practice & Safe Working systems (SA, WA, VIC, NT)
