Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced qualified Financial Accountant with 8+ years’ experience to join our fast-paced Finance team. As a Financial Accountant with Susquehanna, you will perform a key role in the finance team and will oversee the preparation of financial, regulatory, and statistical reporting for a number of entities within the group. You will be comfortable with adapting quickly to a busy working environment, drawing on your previous experience to identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes and internal controls. This role will give you the opportunity to gain exposure to our trading operations and support teams to build up knowledge of global financial markets in a fast-paced trading environment. You will possess technical expertise as well as a proactive mindset, someone who enjoys problem solving, learning new things and finding better ways of working.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions
  • Review accounting policies and procedures, recommending improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency
  • Manage the trading P&L and balance sheet of a trading entity with Susquehanna
  • Oversee the preparation of month end reporting packs for several group entities and present to management committee members
  • Oversee the preparation of Statutory Financial Statements at year end
  • Support the broader finance function on strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects
  • Mentor junior members of team, fostering development and high performance

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA or ACA
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Proven experience handling complex accounting and technical issues under IFRS/GAAP
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Strong and confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
