Job Description:

The Dispensing Assistant is an integral member of the pharmacy team. You are one of the first people many customers will see when coming into the pharmacy, speak to when seeking healthcare advice and interact with when collecting a prescription or ask for help when they wish to purchase a medicine.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manufacturing dosette trays for community patients
  • Downloading and preparing prescriptions
  • Supporting the medicines counter assistant and pharmacist
  • Having effective conversations with customers
  • Engaging with customers around additional services including Pharmacy First scheme

Requirements:

  • NVQ2 in dispensing from the National Pharmacy Association (or equivalent provider) for qualified role
  • For trainee role, will be enrolled on NVQ2 course
  • Previous healthcare/retail/pharmacy experience for trainees
