You'll work proactively with students, parents, staff, and external agencies to provide a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including deploying support staff, to improve the quality of teaching and learning across the school
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's achievements and well-being
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and contribute to the school's positive ethos and community culture

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
  • Proven experience teaching primary-age pupils with additional needs in either a mainstream or special school setting
  • Knowledge and experience of successfully supporting children with moderate learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • A strong understanding of child protection procedures and a deep commitment to safeguarding pupils
  • The ability to plan and deliver outstanding, differentiated lessons
  • Experience with EHCP Annual Reviews, writing and reviewing IEPs, and implementing personalised interventions
  • A resilient, flexible, and positive attitude, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and calmly
  • A forgiving 'every day is a new start' attitude
