Job Description

The role is for a Director within the QIS Technology team to be part of the exciting journey and to shape and deliver front‑office trading and structuring platforms. QIS is a cross-asset business. The person will be part of the QIS Tech team but will work with the wider Markets Technology teams to deliver the best outcomes. The person will work very closely with Front office users – Sales, Trading and Structuring daily to understand their requirements and provide fit for purpose solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions
  • Drive technical excellence, foster a culture of innovation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives
  • Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals
  • Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget
  • Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback
  • Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency
  • Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices

Requirements

  • Extensive full stack experience
  • Proficient in front end technologies like React and Angular
  • Proficient in Java/Python
  • Experience in building and maintaining external/client facing websites
  • Experience in Markets domain – preferably Equity Derivatives
  • Good understanding of the Trade Lifecycle and Risk Management
  • Experience with handling large amounts of data – specially market data
  • Hands-on leader passionate about designing and delivering technical solutions
