Airswift is seeking a QHSE Manager to work on a Permanent position in Paramaribo/Suriname with an Oil and Gas Company. Only for local candidates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinates implementation of Quality Management System activities (e.g. Verification, final control, metrology, local documents, event management, inspection & testing as applicable)
  • Controls quality levels of manufactured products
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction on the quality of products and services
  • Liaises closely with the Company Corporate HSE team to define and provide a comprehensive and coherent application of the management system
  • Ensures Quality specifications are duly met and provides technical assistance during the production cycle
  • Monitors and Control the systematic identification, assessment and control of QHS hazards and risks and environmental aspects
  • Coordinates and prepares annual QHSE action plan
  • Participates in the Company QHSE audit program and defines the local program
  • Implements and enforces global and local QHSE procedures, ensuring they are properly communicated and updated
  • Prepares periodical reports showing statistics, trends, action plans, and proposes corrective actions if needed
  • Identifies applicable legal requirements and ensures compliance
  • Proposes required investments according to improvement plans and legal requirements
  • Supports and monitors the development and implementation of proper QHSE training and awareness
  • Supports and assists Clients and other interested parties, analyzing their requirements and implementing changes, if needed
  • Coordinates and implements QHSE committees and meetings
  • Analyzes statistics, trends, action plans, etc. and implements corrective actions if needed
  • Complies with company policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility
  • Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures
  • Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Strong experience in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment roles, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, or heavy industry operations
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Quality Management Systems, local HSE regulations, conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with ISO and other international standards
  • Proven track record in risk assessment, incident investigation, inspection processes supervision, or environmental impact management is an asset
  • Experience managing QHSE programs, annual action plans, and interaction with corporate or regional QHSE structures
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or similar)
  • Formal training or certifications in ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 (formerly OHSAS 18001) is an asset
  • Desirable: Courses or certifications in auditing, risk management, HSE leadership, local training in HSE Regulations.
