As a key member of the St Neots leadership team, the QHSE Facilitator ensures product quality across the full manufacturing value stream while maintaining full compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Energy legislation and corporate standards. The role drives continuous improvement, promotes a zero‑incident and zero‑impact culture, and provides expert guidance across Quality, HSE and Energy Management systems. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager and oversees a team of two Quality Technicians and one Quality Inspector.
Job Responsibility:
Lead effective problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions
Manage quality‑related projects, including APQP activities for new and existing products
Conduct warranty failure analysis and define corrective actions
Review customer drawings and specifications to deploy appropriate quality controls
Establish inspection sample plans and statistical process controls (SPC) for critical characteristics
Maintain the audit programme, including process audits and compliance reviews
Develop and maintain site quality policies, procedures and documentation
Maintain awareness of current and upcoming HSE&E legislation and corporate requirements
Ensure HSE&E control schedules and facility maintenance activities are completed on time and to standard
Lead plant risk assessment activities, ensuring actions are communicated and closed
Prepare and submit all required HSE&E reports, statistics and site objectives
Deliver awareness training on HSE&E policies and procedures for all employees
Act as Management Representative for ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 systems
Lead or support incident investigations and ensure safe evacuation procedures are upheld
Authorise release/hold decisions for material and finished products
Provide input into product and process change control processes
Manage Quality and HSE budgets (excluding training)
Maintain and develop all local HSE&E procedures and governance systems
Provide guidance to less‑experienced colleagues and support cross‑functional teams
Requirements:
5-7 years of experience
Requires in-depth knowledge and experience
Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others
is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market
