As part of strengthening our teams, we are recruiting a QHSE Engineer for our Indian subsidiary. As a QHSE Engineer, your mission is to ensure that our operations remain safe, compliant, environmentally responsible, and consistently aligned with high quality standards. This role involves overseeing and managing policies, processes, and systems related to quality assurance, health and safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure adherence to local, national, and international safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, industry benchmarks, and certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.)
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to quality, health, safety, and the environment
  • Develop strategies to prevent accidents, incidents, and environmental impact
  • Monitor and enhance product and service quality
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and quality management systems (Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Implement safety programs, training, and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
  • Investigate safety incidents and develop preventive measures
  • Promote sustainable and environmentally friendly practices
  • Ensure reduction of environmental impact across operations
  • Create training programs to educate employees on QHSE policies and procedures
  • Foster a culture centered on safety, quality, and environmental responsibility
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure QHSE compliance
  • Prepare reports on QHSE performance, incidents, and improvement initiatives
  • Analyze trends and performance data to drive QHSE enhancements
  • Implement data-driven decisions to improve processes and outcomes

Requirements:

  • BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Fluency in English
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a QHSE role or related function
  • Understanding of international product safety standards for wiring systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of wiring systems and manufacturing processes (extrusion, insulation, coating, assembly)
  • Knowledge of material properties (copper, aluminum, polymers) and their impact on quality and safety
  • Familiarity with testing methods such as electrical performance, insulation resistance, and durability testing
  • Strong root cause analysis skills (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram)
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Ability to develop and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Skilled in collecting and analyzing QHSE data (defect rates, incidents, environmental metrics)
  • Ability to prepare concise reports for management and regulatory bodies
  • Competence in developing and tracking QHSE KPIs
  • Ability to lead and train cross-functional teams in QHSE practices
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with suppliers, customers, regulatory authorities, and internal teams
  • Ability to drive change across the organization
  • Experience fostering a strong safety culture and promoting employee engagement
  • Ability to design and deliver effective training programs
