Job Description

The QHSE Advisor ensures that Company Management Systems (ISO 9001 , ISO 14001, ISO 45001), policies, and processes are implemented and adhered to across the organisation. This is a hands-on, operational role partnering with Business Units to meet client HSE requirements, conduct safety walkdowns, and monitor activities and supply chain compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Carry out project-specific HSE audits as directed by the HSEQ Director and IMS Lead, and as required by Business Units and customer requirements
  • Promote a strong HSE culture across the business
  • Support Business Units during client audits of project activities
  • Assist with resolving HSE non-conformances
  • Deliver support and coaching on management system use
  • Work with Business Units to maintain and develop processes
  • Deliver regular communications on relevant activities
  • Support HSE incidents and investigations
  • Prepare monthly reports – track and report HSE metrics for Business Units
  • Manage and capture Lessons Learned
  • Support bids by responding to HSE-specific questions
  • Liaise daily with project teams on quality, environmental, and health & safety matters
  • Assist with external IMS audits (ISO, Achilles, RISQS)
  • Support wider QHSE team activities as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar HSEQ role
  • ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 Internal Auditor qualifications
  • Membership of IOSH
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain the appropriate level of security clearance
  • Willingness to travel to sites across the UK

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of working in any of the following sectors: Nuclear, Transport Infrastructure, Rail, Construction or Energy services
  • Practitioner of IEMA or working towards
  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Internal Auditor qualifications
