As the QESH Advisor, you will take ownership of developing, implementing, and maintaining our quality, environmental, safety, and health management systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards, promoting best practices, and supporting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organisation.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement, and maintain QESH policies, procedures, and programmes in line with company objectives and regulatory requirements
Conduct regular audits and inspections across manufacturing and engineering operations to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
Support risk assessments and implement effective control measures to mitigate hazards and ensure a safe working environment
Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions
Provide training and guidance to employees on QESH practices, raising awareness and promoting a proactive safety culture
Collaborate with management and operational teams to integrate QESH considerations into all business activities
Monitor environmental performance, waste management, and energy usage, driving initiatives to reduce environmental impact
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, industry standards, and best practices
Prepare and present regular reports on QESH performance to senior management
Support external audits and inspections, ensuring readiness and compliance
Requirements:
Proven experience in a QESH role within Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial environments
Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001), Environmental Management Systems (e.g. ISO 14001), and Health & Safety standards (e.g. ISO 45001, NEBOSH qualifications desirable)
Excellent knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation
Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QESH software tools
