Step into a leadership role with Vitaco as our Analytical Team Leader – Afternoon Shift within the Quality Control function. This is a high-impact position where you will lead from the front, driving analytical excellence, strengthening laboratory performance, and ensuring the timely release of materials and finished products in a fast-paced, regulated environment. As a team leader in QC, you will partner closely with the Analytical Team Leader – Day Shift, the Quality Control Manager, and cross-functional stakeholders (PD, QA, Procurement, Planning, Regulatory) to elevate standards, enhance efficiency, and embed a culture of continuous improvement. Job Responsibility
Lead, coach and inspire a team of Laboratory Analysts to consistently deliver against production and release timelines
Drive laboratory excellence, ensuring high-quality analytical testing and robust data integrity
Oversee analytical testing and material release with a strong focus on efficiency and compliance
Champion GMP, GLP, NZ GMP and PIC/S compliance, ensuring audit readiness at all times
Lead OOS investigations, method development, validation and troubleshooting, driving right-first-time outcomes
Partner cross-functionally with QC, QA, NPD and Operations to align priorities and remove barriers to delivery
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capability, throughput, and team performance
Requirements
A BSc in Chemistry (or related discipline)
6+ years’ experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment
Strong hands-on expertise in HPLC and dissolution testing
Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate high-performing teams
A continuous improvement mindset, with a drive to challenge the status quo and lift standards
Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality, compliance, and operational excellence
