Job Description:

The Quality Assurance team is dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. We focus on implementing best practices, driving quality initiatives, and fostering continuous improvement in our development processes. As a QA Team Lead, you will lead a team focused on delivering high-quality software. You will be instrumental in shaping our testing strategies, promoting a culture of quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.

Job Responsibility:

Foster knowledge sharing, maintain documentation, and facilitate continuous improvement through retrospectives
Build relationships across teams to champion quality initiatives, drive decisions on software quality and security, and align stakeholders on quality standards from inception
Implement continuous feedback, develop balanced test automation, and incorporate diverse perspectives into QA processes
Reduce technical debt, highlight QA's impact on customer acquisition and retention, and contribute to agile testing practices for reliable releases
Manage the QA automation backlog, oversee sprint testing, and champion automated testing integration for incident response
Exhibit strong command of test automation tools and agile methodologies, utilise metrics for effectiveness, and show technical leadership in API and microservice testing
Encourage experimentation, stay updated with industry trends, and balance automation with exploratory testing
Seek cross-training opportunities and actively seek feedback to help with your professional development
Prioritise customer experience in testing efforts and collaborate with customer service for regression and new test cases

Requirements:

Proven experience in a QA leadership role, preferably within the tech or fintech industry
Strong knowledge of test automation strategies, tools (e.g., xUnit, RestSharp, Cypress), and agile methodologies
Experience testing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into deployment workflows
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively
Proficiency in agile metrics and tools for measuring testing effectiveness
Data-driven approach to decision making, with a strong focus on quality metrics
Commitment to customer-centric thinking and improving the overall user experience
A collaborative mindset with a desire to work across engineering, product, and support teams
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and foster a high-performance culture
