This position offers the opportunity to support quality assurance and quality control activities on a construction site within the chemical or petrochemical sector. The role is focused on maintaining inspection standards, supporting compliance with project quality requirements, and helping ensure that installation and testing activities are properly documented and verified. This opportunity will suit a technically strong professional with site-based QA/QC inspection experience in Germany and a practical understanding of construction quality processes.
Job Responsibility
Carry out construction site inspections in line with inspection and test plans
Monitor execution activities including pipe construction, steel construction, concrete works, and equipment installation
Document, report, and follow up on non-conformities, non-compliance issues, and quality complaints
Support document control, material handling, and material flow activities relevant to quality assurance
Inspect and verify installation works for pressure vessels, storage tanks, rotating equipment, boilers, and steam generators
Review and support testing and documentation for protective coatings, insulation, fire protection coatings, refractory coatings, and cable installation
Support functional tests, loop checks, handover procedures, and completion documentation
Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with standards, specifications, and contractual quality requirements
Prepare and maintain inspection protocols, test reports, punch lists, and as-built documentation
Provide weekly reporting to construction management and support implementation of the project quality management plan
Requirements
Several years of QA/QC inspection experience on projects in Germany
Experience within chemical or petrochemical plant environments
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Dipl.-Ing. in E&I, or Technician qualification
Strong knowledge of inspection and test plans and quality documentation processes
Experience conducting inspections on construction sites across multiple technical disciplines
Understanding of occupational health and safety requirements on construction sites
Very good written and spoken German
Good MS Office skills
Ability to work in site conditions, including inspections at elevated work areas
Nice to have
English knowledge considered advantageous
Knowledge of scheduling programs is beneficial
Relevant certifications such as welding supervision, NDT, or Pressure Equipment / PED are advantageous depending on trade background
