Job Description:

We are supporting Gap inşaat – one of the leading general contractors – in recruiting for the position of QA/QC inspector - civil/hydrotechnical works to join a nationally strategic project: the construction of the FSRU terminal, one of the key energy investments in the region, to be built in Gdańsk. This is a great opportunity to join the newly forming local structures of a renowned company that prioritizes innovation, safety (22 million man-hours without an accident), and sustainable growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • develop, implement, and manage the project-specific QA/QC Plan and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) in accordance with the EPC contract
  • supervise QA/QC works across disciplines including civil, mechanical, welding, NDT, and coatings
  • review and approve quality documentation, including method statements, material certificates, and inspection reports
  • ensure strict compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO, API, DNV, AWS) and Employer/Client specifications
  • coordinate and witness inspections for fabrication, installation, welding, NDT, coating, pressure testing, and other critical activities
  • manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • liaise with Employer’s Engineer, classification societies, and third-party inspectors for quality control and verification
  • lead internal and external audits, pre-commissioning inspections, and final documentation for system handover (e.g., as-built dossiers, test packs)

Requirements:

  • bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • minimum 8 years of QA/QC experience in offshore or marine infrastructure projects
  • solid knowledge of offshore construction techniques, materials, and applicable standards (e.g., steel structures, subsea pipelines)
  • fluency in English (written and spoken) and very good knowledge of Polish
  • preferred certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSWIP 3.1/3.2 (Welding Inspector), NACE Coating Inspector, ASNT Level II (NDT)
  • strong leadership, documentation, and coordination skills
