University Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience in working on electrical/civil works & inspection activities in electrical works projects like Substations, Power Plants or O&G
Previous experience in completion systems, (final walkdown, punch items, turn over packages)
Previous exposure to high voltage electrical installation including switchgear and electric drives
Hazardous Area installation and equipment ATEX inspection experience
Working knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice, regulations / legislation in general and in particular of BS/IEC/ISO/API/ATEX/EEMUA codes and standards relating to electrical and instrumentation work
Knowledge of safety regulations
Familiar with MS Office Package (excel, outlook etc)
Excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written English

Job Responsibility

Maintain standards of safety and comply with Project’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements
Reports to Site Quality manager, liaise with construction team for quality issues
Responsible for the execution (and improvement) of the Project Quality Plan in compliance with the requirements of the project, through the implementation of project’s specifications, procedures, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and method statements (MSs)
Issues relevant Request for Inspection (RFI) to the Client and maintains a relevant register file for the progress of inspections
Verifies that inspections are performed to the extent defined within the ITPs, by the appropriate staff, with the calibrated equipment, as required
Checks all required inspection points and reports as specified within the ITPs and monitors records within Schedules
Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, informs the Quality Control Supervisor for non-conformities
Inspect materials/equipment during receipt, verify compliance with the requirements
Monitor preservation of equipment during storage/handling and after installation
Checks cable/bus bars laying/installation and cable identification
