Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester with strong German language skills to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in manual software testing, with a solid understanding of software testing methodologies and tools. Familiarity with financial software and Agile environments is a plus. This role offers flexible working options and opportunities for professional development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze business and technical requirements related to a German tax software
  • Develop, document, and execute test cases and test scenarios
  • Create and maintain comprehensive manual test suites for full functional coverage
  • Perform mainly functional and regression testing
  • Develop and maintain a clear and structured manual test strategy aligned with project timelines and deliverables
  • Log, track, and verify bugs and issues in coordination with the development team
  • Participate in reviews of user stories, requirements, and technical documentation from a QA perspective

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manual software testing
  • Familiarity with government systems or financial/tax software is a plus
  • Experience with test case management and issue tracking tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar)
  • Experience in accounting and payroll is a plus
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Knowledge of data validation (e.g. XML)
  • Experience in managing virtual machines in an open-source cloud computing platform (e.g. OpenNebula or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured, analytical approach
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team
  • Good communication skills in German (C1 level required) and good English skills
