About Cranswick Country Foods, Poultry: Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is hiring at our brand new, purpose-built processing facility in Eye, Suffolk. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to start or progress their career in the food industry and work for one of the largest integrated poultry businesses in the UK, playing your part in helping us feed the Nation! As part of our exciting expansion project we are now recruiting a QA position, working Monday – Friday 06:40-15:10

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for completion and documentation of intake checks on all deliveries of raw materials to Stores
  • Liaising with Stores to ensure availability and presence on arrival of raw materials
  • Responsible for monitoring & reviewing staff behaviours, challenging unsafe behaviours / practices and correcting them
  • Responsible for carrying out all relevant intake checks, maintaining technical standards
  • Raising any non-conformances found, escalating to Technical Management as required
  • Ensure closure of any Non-Conformances raised and proactive prevention of repetition
  • Managing Corrective actions – making sure corrective actions are completed within appropriate timescales
  • Support the QA function on site
  • Authority and responsibility to stop the line from running to prevent compromise of food safety, legality, quality or health & safety

Requirements:

  • Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
  • Be able to work additional hours as overtime may be required
  • Ideally have experience of working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
  • Have a good level of both written and verbal English
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene/Safety certification
