Job Description:

Based at our production facility at Rotherwas, due to continuing growth of the company, an opportunity has arisen for a Quality General Inspector to join the team. Working in close association with Quality, Production & Production Engineering staff, demonstrating compliance to regulations and continuing to ensure high quality standards are met through manufacturing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensuring all products are made to the standard specification set by the design department
  • Working with the chief inspector to ensure that all assemblies and sub-assemblies are made in accordance with production documentation and drawings
  • Undertaking Internal audits as required
  • Managing FAI’s reports and assisting with measurements if required
  • Completing Customer’s questionnaire
  • Inspecting products at all stages of assembly including printed circuit boards and soldiering joints as/when required
  • Logging of failures onto PC for weekly analysis and review
  • Ensuring that inspection area is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Goods in inspection as/when required
  • Inspection of machined parts and assemblies made in house and made by subcontractors as/when required
  • Overseeing of stage inspection of all work produced within Techtest/Techdev departments as/when required
  • Being fully aware of Company Standards and raise Change Notices as required
  • Writing of WP’s and procedures relating to Quality Assurance Matters
  • The Maintenance of a database relating to Pass or Reject items
  • Ordering new parts/tools when required
  • Any other reasonable task asked by the Quality Manager
  • From time to time you may be asked to drive a Company Vehicle whilst on Company business

Requirements:

  • Previous QA experience
  • Ability to read and fully understand engineering drawings
