Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Manual Tester to join a premier technical team within the financial sector. This role is designed for a veteran quality assurance professional who brings deep expertise in manual testing methodologies, strong database skills, and a solid understanding of complex financial applications. You will be responsible for ensuring the absolute reliability, security, and performance of enterprise-grade web applications by designing and executing comprehensive test strategies. While this is primarily a manual testing role, familiarity with automation frameworks is highly advantageous as our environments continue to evolve.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end testing lifecycle, including preparing, reviewing, and executing highly detailed manual test cases for complex web applications
  • Perform deep-dive backend validation and data verification by writing and executing MS SQL queries
  • Utilize Jira to log defects, track issue resolutions, manage test cycles, and collaborate transparently with development teams
  • Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to identify potential edge cases and security vulnerabilities within financial software modules
  • Collaborate within a Microsoft .NET development environment and interface with version control systems like Git to align testing efforts with release branches

Requirements

  • Greater than 8 years of professional experience dedicated strictly to QA Manual Testing
  • Advanced proficiency using Jira for defect tracking and Excel for test data management and reporting
  • Strong practical knowledge of MS SQL for backend testing, data verification, and querying

Nice to have

  • Previous experience or strong knowledge in Banking, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Payment Systems, or Financial Application testing/development
  • Familiarity or preferred experience working within a Microsoft .NET environment and utilizing Git
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium or Cucumber
