Job Description:

The QA Automation Engineer role involves developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web and mobile applications. Candidates should have a strong background in quality assurance, with experience in programming languages like Java and familiarity with AWS services. A bachelor's degree in Informatics or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software testing. Preferred certifications include ISTQB Foundation Level and AWS Certification.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools
  • Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans
  • Execute and analyze automated test results, identifying and reporting issues and defects
  • Work closely with manual testing teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Participate in the identification and implementation of test automation best practices
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process by providing feedback on areas of improvement
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and methodologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience within software testing area
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript
  • Experience with automated testing tools, such as Playwright, Appium, or similar
  • Proven experience in automation testing using Java for web applications and APIs
  • Understanding of AWS services and cloud-based testing environments is mandatory
  • Proficient in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven)
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze log files, and work with developers to resolve defects
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Agile is essential
  • Good speaking capability in English

Nice to have:

  • AWS certification(s) in relevant areas is a plus
  • ISTQB (or equivalent) Foundation Level certification is desirable
