The QA Automation Engineer role involves developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web and mobile applications. Candidates should have a strong background in quality assurance, with experience in programming languages like Java and familiarity with AWS services. A bachelor's degree in Informatics or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software testing. Preferred certifications include ISTQB Foundation Level and AWS Certification.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools
Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans
Execute and analyze automated test results, identifying and reporting issues and defects
Work closely with manual testing teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
Participate in the identification and implementation of test automation best practices
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process by providing feedback on areas of improvement
Troubleshoot and debug issues, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and methodologies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience
Minimum 5-7 years of experience within software testing area
Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript
Experience with automated testing tools, such as Playwright, Appium, or similar
Proven experience in automation testing using Java for web applications and APIs
Understanding of AWS services and cloud-based testing environments is mandatory
Proficient in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven)
Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools
Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze log files, and work with developers to resolve defects
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools
Knowledge of Scrum, Agile is essential
Good speaking capability in English
Nice to have:
AWS certification(s) in relevant areas is a plus
ISTQB (or equivalent) Foundation Level certification is desirable
