Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 4+ years of experience in building test automation frameworks and performing manual testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver with Java, Cucumber BDD, and comprehensive manual testing skills for enterprise applications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and develop automated test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, and Cucumber BDD
  • Implement Page Object Model (POM) and Page Factory design patterns
  • Create and execute automated test suites using TestNG or JUnit frameworks
  • Perform API testing using REST Assured for backend validation
  • Conduct manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and maintain test documentation
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub
  • Manage test artifacts using Maven and Git version control
  • Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or other task management tools
  • Collaborate with development teams in an Agile or Scrum environment

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in test automation and manual testing
  • Selenium WebDriver: Expert-level proficiency with Java for web automation
  • Java Programming: Strong knowledge of OOP concepts, collections, exception handling, and multithreading
  • Page Object Model (POM) & Page Factory: Extensive implementation experience
  • Cucumber BDD: Proven expertise with feature files, step definitions, and hooks
  • TestNG / JUnit: Test execution, annotations, assertions, and parallel testing
  • REST Assured: API testing with JSON and XML validation
  • Maven: Build automation and dependency management
  • Git: Version control, branching, and merging strategies
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins and GitHub integration
  • Manual Testing: Test planning, execution, defect management, and cross-browser testing

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Selenium Grid for parallel test execution
  • Performance testing using tools like JMeter or Gatling
  • Docker containerization experience
  • Experience with Allure or ExtentReports for test reporting
  • Python or JavaScript scripting knowledge

  • Works closely with developers, product owners, and analysts to refine testable user stories, ensuring acceptance criteria cover both functional and non-functional aspects, and proactively challenges ambiguity or inefficiencies in test scope
  • Builds and maintains robust test data and reusable artefacts for scenarios such as journal entries, GL reconciliation, and end-of-month processes, embedding these into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps to enable continuous testing
  • Drives root cause analysis of defects, champions risk-based test prioritisation, and identifies opportunities to replace manual testing with scalable automation to increase feedback speed and maintain sprint velocity
  • Actively participates in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to advocate for early quality input, align on coverage expectations, and foster a quality-first culture that includes security, accessibility, and usability considerations
