Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to support a major replatforming programme. This opportunity involves designing and implementing a scalable automation testing framework while working closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and build a test automation framework from scratch
  • Define the overall automation strategy and testing best practices
  • Focus primarily on backend test automation, with some frontend coverage
  • Evaluate and select appropriate automation tooling (e.g. Playwright, Selenium)
  • Query and validate data within AWS RDS environments
  • Integrate automated testing into the existing GitLab CI/CD pipeline
  • Work closely with engineering, product, and QA stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automation Engineer
  • Strong experience building automation frameworks from scratch
  • Experience with backend and frontend test automation
  • Knowledge of Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation tools
  • Experience working with AWS RDS databases
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD integration
  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
