Job Description:

Wenco International Mining Systems, a subsidiary of Hitachi Construction Machinery, provides industry leading technologies to customers in mining and material movement sectors. You will join an agile product development team creating the next generation Fleet Management System and Open Autonomy platform. Reporting to the Technical Lead, Software Development, you will help create and mature test automation capabilities within Wenco R&D.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks
  • define and review test cases and test plans for in-Sprint testing as well as customer UAT
  • design and implement automated tests that leverage the framework
  • provide support and integration of automated testing into the CI/CD pipelines
  • support technical services and operations teams with investigation and reproduction of customer issues
  • be relentless in pursuit of continuous improvement
  • promote a culture of quality within the development team
  • identify opportunities to apply automation to achieve process or product improvement
  • interface with product management/owners and developers to define and improve requirements and automated and manual test cases
  • work with the Technical Documentation team to create content for instructions and user guides for customers

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in software and test automation development
  • strong programming skills in Python and at least one other programming language
  • experience in the BDD style of developing test automation
  • experience working on complex systems comprised of edge and cloud computing elements, sensing and sensor processing communicating using fixed and wireless networks
  • ability to analyze system requirements and create testing strategies and test cases
  • experience in developing test automation for live cloud-based products
  • interest in delivering high-quality and high-standard products
  • enjoy learning new technologies and solving complex problems with your team
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent
  • must be eligible to work in Australia
