Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript. The ideal candidate will design and maintain scalable automation frameworks, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality product releases. This role requires strong debugging skills, solid coding abilities, and a deep understanding of modern automated testing practices.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure complete test coverage
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable automated test code following best practices
  • Develop and enhance test automation frameworks and infrastructure
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior QA engineers when needed
  • Analyze test failures, perform root cause analysis, and log defects with clear details
  • Create and manage test data and configure test environments
  • Continuously improve test coverage, speed of execution, and test reliability
  • Ensure automation suites are scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in QA Automation
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Solid programming skills with TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Experience in building and maintaining automation test frameworks
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies and best practices
  • Experience integrating automation scripts with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills for root cause investigation
  • Experience in writing clean, reusable, and modular automation code
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams
  • Good understanding of test data creation and test environment setup

Nice to have

  • Experience with API automation (RestAssured, Postman, Playwright API testing)
  • Knowledge of other automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, WebDriverIO)
  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
  • Understanding of containerization tools like Docker
