Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a QA Assurance III (3796) in Carlsbad, NM. Job Responsibility:
Qualify as a QA Auditor under CBFO QAD’s qualification process within two years of service
Perform as a QA Auditor on generator site-related assessments by completing NMED Permit-driven C6-1 Checklists for general QA elements
Assist Lead Auditors in participating as a QA Auditor for WIPP site and other WIPP Participant-related assessments as assigned
Responsible for performing QA verification checks for NMED-related assessment objective evidence submitted with the final audit report
Compare printed objective evidence presented to the NMED and work with the Permit-related QA administrative support person to ensure the evidence submitted to the NMED is accurate
Also, become the alternate support in processing Final Audit Reports and transmitting the associated objective evidence to the NMED
Develop and maintain QA-related spreadsheets
Track CBFO QAD’s incoming requests for QA reviews for generator sites and other WIPP participant procedures and documents
Coordinate the reviews to ensure timely response
Coordinate the effort for CBFO QAD’s Semi-Annual CAR Trend Reports
Become proficient to perform the quarterly metrics function for CBFO QAD
Qualify as a Records Coordinator
Ensure CBFO QAD’s records comply with records requirements including electronic uploads
This includes developing, maintaining, and revising (annually) the CBFO QAD records inventory schedule (RIDS)
Must be able to enter records into CBFO’s Electronic Records Management System (ERMS)
Will be responsible for processing and transferring CBFO QAD’s records, as required, and completing the records transmittal index (RTI) for transferred records
Qualify as an Office Warden for the QAD office area for safe accountability practices
Become the alternate QA Training Coordinator and Corrective Action Report Coordinator
Assist the QA team in monthly input reporting
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in a technical or science-related field and seven years of quality assurance experience
OR a Master’s degree in the specific discipline or subject matter area required by the project and 1 year of relevant work experience
US citizenship is required
Provides intermediate-level quality control support, including detailed inspections and assisting in quality audits
Prepares documentation for compliance checks, assists in managing corrective actions, and develops a working knowledge of quality standards, such as ASME NQA-1
A structured internship with DOE or Government entity can be used to substitute 1 year of experience with recommendation by mentor and/or CO approval
