Our client is a leader in their industry and seeing a QA Analyst with expertise in automotive finance, specifically QA with Mainframe experience to join our team in Southern California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and performance of our mainframe-based Customer Account Servicing System. This position involves working on complex systems and requires a hands-on approach to manual testing, defect identification, and test process optimization.
Job Responsibility:
Validate updates and upgrades to the Customer Account Servicing System to ensure compliance and functionality
Analyze system bundles to classify changes as enhancements, corrections, or regulatory updates, and select appropriate testing methods
Develop and execute manual test scripts in Quality Center for batch processes, online components, and interface impacts
Perform production file comparisons by replaying data through batch processes and documenting output discrepancies
Plan and implement test enhancements for custom modules to ensure compatibility and stability
Collaborate with business stakeholders to review regulatory items and obtain necessary approvals
Maintain detailed documentation linking test scripts, defects, approvals, and results for audit readiness
Identify and report system defects, conduct root-cause analyses, and work with developers to resolve issues
Manage and organize test data, batch input files, and credentials for mainframe testing environments
Ensure adherence to change control practices and maintain traceability throughout the testing process
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience
3–5+ years of mainframe QA/testing across batch, online, and interfaces in financial services, preferably automotive finance
Hands-on with CAP practices: RSECS analysis, QC/ALM script authoring, FFPP execution, and planning of test enhancements for homegrown modules
Proficiency in mainframe job control, batch scheduling, and data/file comparison tooling
familiarity with account servicing life cycle
Experience validating Honda custom/homegrown modules and minor enhancements alongside base changes
Defect management, reporting, and root-cause analysis
ability to communicate technical findings clearly to business stakeholders
Positive attitude toward understanding and navigating highly complex systems and processes
Discipline with change control, traceability, and audit readiness
