Job Responsibility:
Build and Own Critical Systems: Design, develop, and optimize the large-scale distributed platforms that form the backbone of our global analytics
Engineer for Performance: Tackle fascinating challenges in high-performance computing, distributed data processing (using tools like Elastic Search, MongoDB, and more), and algorithmic efficiency
Develop Core Infrastructure: Create and maintain the core infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling for our in-house analytical libraries, directly impacting the productivity of hundreds of developers
Create Powerful Tools: Build intuitive web-based interfaces and backends (we use React) that allow our researchers and traders to harness the power of our complex systems
Solve Real-World Puzzles: Apply your quantitative and analytical skills to implement and validate sophisticated mathematical models
Requirements:
Solid Python Experience: You have a proven track record of building data-intensive applications, complex tooling, or backend systems with Python
An Engineer's Mindset: You have a strong foundation in software engineering principles and a passion for solving complex analytical problems with data-driven solutions
A Commitment to Quality: You have experience with automated testing. We use pytest, but your experience with any modern testing framework is valuable
Quantitative Aptitude: You likely have a degree in a technical field like Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Economics, and you're comfortable arguing for solutions on quantitative grounds
Nice to have:
Experience with front-end development, especially with React
Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies (e.g., message queues, microservices, AsyncIO)
Hands-on experience with Linux and shell scripting
A passion for data analysis and turning raw data into actionable insights
