Job Description:

The Market Risk Technology team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Python Developer to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable solutions using Python, with a focus on development in VaR and Stress Testing areas. Candidates will build in-depth knowledge of financial services operations and tackle critical regulatory deliverables such as CCAR.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Python-based applications and systems
Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Write clean, efficient, well-documented code
Develop and execute unit and integration tests
Optimize application performance and scalability
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and security policies

Requirements:

Proven experience with Python and frameworks like Django/Flask/FastAPI
Proficient with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
Experience using libraries like Pandas and NumPy
Understands object-oriented programming, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and version control (e.g., GitHub)
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and think analytically
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
Familiarity with GenAI tools like CoPilot is a plus
