Job Description:

The Apps Support Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role within Citi. Responsibilities include providing business and technical support, managing production issues, maintaining application systems, and driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements. The role emphasizes leadership, risk assessment, post-implementation analysis, and liaison with technology teams and vendors. Job Responsibility:

provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications
provides quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements
maintains application systems that have completed development and are in daily operations
manages and supports applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality
performs start of day checks, continuous monitoring and risk reconciliations
develops and maintains technical support documentation
assesses risk and impact of production issues and escalates to business and technology management
ensures storage and archiving procedures are in place
formulates and defines scope and objectives for complex application enhancements
reviews and develops application contingency planning
participates in application releases, testing, and deployment into production
engages in post implementation analysis
ensures procedures are followed and operating standards are defined
acts as a liaison between users, technology groups, and vendors
raises problems to the appropriate technology and business teams while adhering to SLAs
acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
actively involved in support projects covering stability, efficiency, and effectiveness initiatives

Requirements:

8-12 years experience in an Application Support role using Python, Unix, Shell Script
experienced in Backend development using core Python & Pandas/numpy libraries
hands-on coding exposure in Core Python with understanding of OOPs concepts
experienced with Unix based operating systems & shell scripting
hands-on experience in writing SQL queries
experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket, Git etc.
strong analytical and logical skills
exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
proven track record of change management and continuous improvement
experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
demonstrated analytical skills
issue tracking and reporting using tools
knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools
good all-round technical skills
effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
ability to plan and organize workload
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders

Nice to have:

experience working with banking domain like pricing, risk etc.
CFA/FRM certification
