The International School of Monza (ISM), part of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teacher to join its Primary School team. This role is ideal for a committed and reflective practitioner who is passionate about inquiry-based learning and child-centred education. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching within the IB Primary Years Programme, contributing positively to a collaborative and internationally minded school community. Working closely with colleagues, the PYP Teacher will support the academic, social and emotional development of students while promoting the IB Learner Profile and Inspired Education values.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP framework
Foster a student-centred classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence and critical thinking
Implement transdisciplinary units of inquiry collaboratively with colleagues
Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and inform teaching
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including multilingual students
Participate actively in collaborative planning, reflection and moderation
Contribute to the development and review of curriculum documentation
Engage in professional learning aligned with IB standards and school priorities
Maintain clear, professional communication with parents regarding student learning and progress
Promote and model the IB Learner Profile and Inspired Education ethos
Contribute positively to school life, including events, trips and enrichment activities
Support pastoral care and student wellbeing in line with school policies
Requirements:
A recognised teaching qualification and degree in Primary Education or a related field
Proven experience teaching within the IB Primary Years Programme
Strong understanding of inquiry-based, concept-driven learning
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A collaborative, reflective and student-centred approach to teaching
Legal right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)
Nice to have:
Experience in an international or bilingual school environment
Familiarity with assessment practices within the IB PYP
Italian language skills (an advantage, not essential)
