Hayley Dexis has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join our well-established and experienced Fluid Power team based at in Halesowen. As a Purchasing Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the fluid power team at Hayley Dexis. Reporting into the Product Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing function, ensuring the timely and cost‑effective procurement of materials, components, and services critical to operational success.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, motivate, and support the purchasing team, providing guidance and prioritising workloads
Source, negotiate, and place orders for materials, components, and services in line with business requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met
Monitor supplier performance and address issues relating to quality, delivery, or cost
Identify cost saving opportunities and support strategic sourcing and supplier rationalisation initiatives
Ensure purchasing processes comply with company procedures, quality standards, and commercial agreements
Manage purchase order accuracy, pricing, and lead times within the ERP/MRP system
Mitigate supply chain risks and proactively resolve shortages or delays
Provide purchasing data, reporting, and insights to support operational and management decision making
Requirements:
Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role
Previous experience supervising or mentoring others, with the confidence to lead day‑to‑day activities
Strong supplier management and negotiation skills, with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery
Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and planning teams
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
