We are partnering with a well-established organization in the Mechanicsburg area that is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support day-to-day procurement operations. This role will work closely with vendors, internal teams, and accounting to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and services.
Job Responsibility
Issue and manage purchase orders to support operational needs
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering of materials
Compare pricing, negotiate terms, and ensure cost efficiency
Track orders, resolve discrepancies, and ensure on-time delivery
Partner with accounting to support invoice matching and processing
Maintain accurate records of purchasing activity and vendor files
Requirements
2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems preferred
Nice to have
