We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities for a manufacturing environment in Kent, Washington. This Contract position will focus on coordinating purchase orders, maintaining supplier communication, and helping ensure materials are available to meet operational needs. The ideal candidate brings hands-on purchasing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the full purchase order cycle in NetSuite, from order creation through final receipt and closure
Monitor open orders and communicate with suppliers to verify pricing, availability, lead times, and shipment progress
Help maintain steady stock levels for consumable items by reviewing inventory needs and supporting replenishment efforts
Work with vendors to address order confirmations, delivery updates, record accuracy, and onboarding documentation
Partner with warehouse and operations teams to resolve receiving issues, shipment discrepancies, and fulfillment concerns
Research and resolve problems involving purchase orders, invoices, and delivered goods, escalating supplier issues when appropriate
Support internal purchasing requests and coordinate timely fulfillment for business needs across departments
Contribute to reporting activities by tracking purchasing data, vendor performance, and opportunities for process or cost improvements
Requirements:
At least 1 year of purchasing experience within a manufacturing setting
Experience using an ERP platform, with NetSuite strongly preferred
Working knowledge of procurement processes, purchasing workflows, and supplier coordination
Familiarity with inventory control or broader supply chain concepts
Strong accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record maintenance
Ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook
Clear communication skills with a proactive approach to vendor follow-up and internal collaboration
