Purchasing Specialist

• Manage purchase orders and requisitions to ensure timely acquisition of materials and supplies
• Revamp and establish efficient inventory management processes across three office locations
• Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to align purchasing activities with organizational goals
• Handle planned and unplanned procurement needs, including urgent purchasing requests
• Monitor vendor performance and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, and inventory levels
• Utilize Excel to track procurement data and generate reports
• Communicate effectively with suppliers to address issues and ensure delivery timelines are met
• Provide training and support during transitions to updated inventory and purchasing procedures
• Take on additional tasks as needed to support the small department structure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles
• Solid understanding of purchase orders and purchase requisitions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to adapt to urgent and unexpected purchasing demands

Experience in revamping or building inventory processes is highly desired
