The Sourcing Specialist supports plant and maintenance operations by sourcing maintenance, repair, operating (MRO), and direct materials to ensure timely availability, cost effectiveness, and compliance with company policies and controls. The role provides primary sourcing support for the Toronto and Edmonton plants and collaborates with other facilities across the network as required.
Job Responsibility
Source parts and materials using best sourcing practices to reduce cycle time, optimize cost, and maintain service levels in compliance with sourcing standards and SOX controls.
Create and manage purchase orders and inventory levels in SAP.
Run MRP reports daily and process required orders.
Identify vendors and manage sourcing of lubricants, specialty fluids, and pallets.
Evaluate vendor quotations and manage supplier performance including lead times, service levels, and quality.
Ensure compliance with national accounts purchasing agreements.
Support suppliers and internal stakeholders on purchasing and invoicing issues.
Partner with Maintenance to define appropriate spare parts inventory levels.
Conduct critical spare parts assessments every three years.
Coordinate sourcing across plants as required.
Maintain data integrity in SAP and manage vendors in COUPA.
Ensure Procure-to-Pay and SOX compliance.
Resolve GRNI and accounts payable issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
